Polyethylene-Polypropylene Glycol CAS#9003-11-6

Polyethylene-Polypropylene Glycol, also named Poloxamer, is a triblock nonionic polyether copolymer consisting of hydrophilic polyoxyethylene segments and hydrophobic polyoxypropylene segments. It appears as white waxy granules or colorless to pale yellow viscous liquid, nearly odorless. It is freely miscible with cold water, ethanol and many organic solvents.

This polymer features unique reverse thermal gelation behavior, with pH value ranging from 5.0 to 7.5 in aqueous solution. It has low toxicity and excellent biocompatibility. Different grades with varied molecular weights are available to meet different formulation requirements. Widely used as surfactant, solubilizer and pharmaceutical excipient.
